HAPPY HOUR YOGA
$8 yoga. Seriously. Get you some. All of the good stuff for a little less dough. Run out of work and join us.
A gentler class with modifications offered to challenge all levels of practitioners. The poses are held a bit longer than in Vinyasa Yoga and there’s a whole lot less down-dogs and “push ups”. We breathe, we “om”, we move, we laugh, and we go about the rest of the day a bit more at peace with ourselves. Perfect for beginners
A continuous flow of movement linked with the breath. This style can be a bit stronger of a practice, but I like to deliver a “choose your own adventure” of sorts. If you’ve never done yoga a day in your life I’m still gonna be there with you helping you make it an enjoyable experience. Everything is optional and there are always modifications offered to suit every level (advanced practitioners, we can make things real interesting!). We talk about butts and armpits, sticking giraffes in refrigerators, and sometimes everyone looks at me like I’m nuts when I suggest the next move, but we just keep rolling with it.
DOOM METAL YOGA
Yoga for those who aren’t into the soft and willowy sounds of sitars and singing bowls. Doom metal is a style of music with low, heavy riffs and resonating vibrations perfect for a deep and meditative practice of movement. Mindful movement is linked with the breath, providing an opportunity to get out of our heads and our lives, getting into the body and the tunes instead. We move through basic postures for beginners, with options for more advanced practitioners to go deeper into their practice. Bring your grandma!
